Team RAC confirm BTCC driver line-up
After much speculation and anticipation Team RAC is delighted to announce that Colin Turkington and Rob Collard will be joining the team in its title challenge for this year's Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

BRANDS HATCH OFFICIAL TEST
Team RAC completed a successful testing session at Brands Hatch this afternoon, eleven days before the season's opener, which takes place at the Kent circuit on 9 April.
TEAM RAC IN CONFIDENT MOOD AS 2006 SEASON OPENER APPROACHES
Following a successful test at Brands Hatch, Team RAC are quietly confident as they return to the Kent circuit this weekend for the opening round of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
TEAM RAC'S TURKINGTON REACHES BTCC CENTURY
As Colin Turkington lines up on the grid in his Team RAC MG ZS for the second race at Brands Hatch, he will be celebrating 100 BTCC race starts. With RAC having provided the UK motoring public with over a century of automotive expertise, Colin is hot on their heels and talks about reaching his milestone, which will not pass by unnoticed!

ROUND 1 - BRANDS HATCH - QUALIFYING
Team RAC's Colin Turkington gave an impressive performance in the first qualifying session of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season at Brands Hatch this afternoon.
ROUND 1 - BRANDS HATCH - RACE REPORT
Before the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car season started there was much speculation that this was going to be an action-packed season. The first rounds at Brands Hatch didn't disappoint the bumper crowd and Team RAC supporters as they surrounded the natural amphitheatre.
ROUND 2 - MONDELLO PARK PREVIEW
Following a strong performance from Team RAC at the opening round of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch, the team now cross the Irish Sea to Mondello Park – bringing with it a bit of orange to the Emerald Isle.
ROUND 2 - QUALIFYING
Despite driving the heaviest car on the circuit, Colin Turkington still impressed in the Team RAC MG ZS to qualify fifth for the opening race at Mondello Park in tomorrow's 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
ROUND 2 - MONDELLO PARK RACE REPORT
Warm Irish weather and matching hospitality greeted Team RAC at the second round of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship. It was a weekend of mixed fortunes on the track as Colin Turkington left Mondello as Independents Trophy leader and second in the Drivers Championship.
ROUND 3 - OULTON PARK PREVIEW
Team RAC's Colin Turkington (Portadown) heads for the North of England this weekend for the next round of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship. After securing two podiums on home soil at Mondello Park, Colin is leading the Independents Trophy and lies second in the overall Drivers' Championship
ROUND 3 – OULTON PARK – RACE REPORT
Once again the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship provided action aplenty for a bumper Cheshire crowd. An Independent's Trophy win for Rob Collard and a Dunlop Charger Award and a new lap record for Colin Turkington proves that Team RAC are a force to be reckoned with.

ROUND 3 – OULTON PARK – QUALIFYING
Team RAC drivers Rob Collard and Colin Turkington qualified 6th and 8th respectively for tomorrow's round seven of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Oulton Park.
ROUND 4 – THRUXTON PREVIEW
Team RAC head to the fastest circuit in the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship calendar next weekend (3/4 June) at Thruxton in Hampshire. With speeds averaging around 110mph and an abrasive circuit, which is tough on tyres, it promises to be action all the way for drivers Colin Turkington and Rob Collard.

ROUND 4 – THRUXTON - RACE REPORT
A storming drive by Colin Turkington in the third BTCC race of the day secured Team RAC's first win of the season at Thruxton. It was also the first time that the MG ZS and WSR had won at the Hampshire circuit.
ROUND 4 – THRUXTON - QUALIFYING
It was a scorcher at Thruxton this afternoon as the qualifying session for the next round of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship got underway. As the track temperature soured to 38ºC, it all came down to a one lap shoot-out to secure pole position with Team RAC's Colin Turkington missing out by just 800th's of a second.
ROUND 5 - CROFT - PREVIEW
Following the recent break in the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship due to the World Cup, the season reaches the half way stages this weekend as Team RAC travel the 540-mile round trip to Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire.

ROUND 5 - CROFT - QUALIFYING
Team RAC’s Colin Turkington and Rob Collard will line-up behind one another for the opening race of the fifth round of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
ROUND 5 - CROFT - RACE REPORT
It was all-action as the three Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship races got underway at Croft. In front of a bumper crowd, brought out by the fantastic weather, Team RAC didn't disappoint its supporters with close racing and two podium places for Northern Irishman Colin Turkington.
ROUND 6 - DONINGTON PARK - PREVIEW
The second half of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship gets underway this coming weekend as Team RAC head to Donington Park (Derbyshire) for races 16, 17 and 18 of the 30-race Championship. This will be Team RAC's first visit to the circuit since it underwent a £5million redevelopment.

Colin Turkington and Team RAC are delighted to announce Lafarge Cement Ireland as a new sponsor for the remaining rounds of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship campaign.

ROUND 6 - DONINGTON PARK - QUALIFYING
Team RAC's Colin Turkington posted the second’s fastest qualifying time of the session (1m:12.661s) and will line-up on the front row of the grid for the opening race at Donington Park's 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship tomorrow.

ROUND 6 - DONINGTON PARK - RACE REPORT
Once again there was plenty of action at the sixth round of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Donington Park today. With a total points haul of 33, Team RAC's Colin Turkington retains his second place in the Championship and reduces the gap at the top of the table to 22 points.
ROUND 7 - SNETTERTON - PREVIEW
Snetterton, Norfolk will play host to Team RAC and the next round of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship this weekend (12/13 August). The round will feel like a home game for Team RAC, as Norwich is the headquarters of RAC Group and Norwich Union Insurance.

ROUND 7 - SNETTERTON - QUALIFYING
Team RAC's Colin Turkington will take 6th place on the grid tomorrow alongside Championship rival Matt Neal for the opening race of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship taking place at Snetterton, Norfolk.


ROUND 7 - SNETTERTON - RACE REPORT
Team RAC’s Colin Turkington still remains in contention for overall honours and 27-points behind Championship leader Matt Neal despite a non-finish in one of today’s BTCC races.

ROUND 8 - KNOCKHILL - PREVIEW
Team RAC cross the border next week as round eight of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship takes place at Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre, Knockhill. One of the shorter circuits on the BTCC calendar at just 1.3 miles in length, Knockhill is a firm favourite of Team RAC’s Colin Turkington.

TEAM RAC GOES GREEN
Today, WSR team principal Dick Bennetts is pleased to announce that the British Touring Car Championship team, Team RAC, is to switch to bio-fuels for the remainder of the 2006 season.


ROUND 8 - KNOCKHILL - QUALIFYING
Team RAC took to the Knockhill Circuit this afternoon with bio-ethanol fuel in its tanks to qualify for the first of tomorrows Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship races at the Scottish Circuit.

ROUND 8 - KNOCKHILL - RACE REPORT
Colin Turkington and Team RAC showed great pace in his bio-ethanol MG at Knockhill but what should have been a happy ending to a frustrating weekend was cruelly taken away from the Northern Irishman as his car developed an electrical problem when leading the final BTCC race of the day at the Scottish track.
ROUND 9 - BRANDS HATCH - PREVIEW
Team RAC return to the Kent circuit this weekend confident that they can make history by becoming the first team to achieve a podium finish for a bio-ethanol fuelled race car. WSR made the switch to bio-fuel for the first time at Knockhill, just over two weeks ago.

Both Team RAC cars will line-up on the third row of the grid for the first of tomorrow's Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship races at Brands Hatch. Colin Turkington and Rob Collard qualified fifth and sixth respectively.

ROUND 9 - BRANDS HATCH - RACE REPORT
Team RAC created history today when they became the first motorsport team to achieve a podium finish under bio-fuel. Not only did they achieve it once, but twice, as Colin Turkington took third place in both race one and two of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

ROUND 10 - SILVERSTONE - PREVIEW
As the 2006 season draws to a close it’s still all to play for in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and Team RAC will be aiming to complete the year on a high note.
ROUND 10 - SILVERSTONE - QUALIFYING
Despite carrying an extra 27kgs of success ballast, due to his third place Championship position, Colin Turkington showed why he has been a title contender for the majority of the season when placing his bio-fuel Team RAC MG on the front row of the grid for the first of tomorrow's races.
ROUND 10 - SILVERSTONE - RACE REPORT
In front of a bumper crowd of 33,000 people, Team RAC's Colin Turkington claimed two second place finishes taking third overall in the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship Drivers' Championship. Only one point separated Colin from second placed driver Jason Plato.
WESTON BEACH RACE
One week after the BTCC season finished and after a gruelling couple of days training with the Team RAC fitness instructor in Wales, Colin teamed up with a friend to take part in the well-known Weston Beach Race on a quadbike. Along with his co-rider, he took 133rd place overall in the quad and sidecar race and 18th in their class.
THEY THINK IT'S ALL OVER...BTCC 3 - ITV 12 TURKINGTON SCORES AS BTCC SQUAD DEFEATED
The defeat for the drivers from the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship was of little concern as their Dunlop BTCC Wanderers team helped raise funds for the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home appeal in a fun charity match.
THE TEAM RAC SPORT RELIEF MILE
Team RAC Dunlop MSA British Touring Car driver Colin Turkington swapped his driving boots for running shoes as he supported the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile at Croft Motor Racing Circuit today. Colin was joined on the start/finish line by members of Team RAC to run the 1.1 mile circuit in a bid to raise as much money as possible.

Team RAC Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship driver Colin Turkington warmed up for the race meeting at North Yorkshire’s Croft circuit this weekend (15-16 July) in spectacular style with a race in a fleet of diggers today.
