TEAM RAC CONFIRM TURKINGTON
Team RAC have today confirmed that Colin Turkington will drive the Team RAC BMW 320si E90 in the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
TEAM RAC ANNOUNCE NEW CAR FOR 2007
Team RAC has announced that they will race the BMW 320si E90 in the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship. The car was unveiled to the media today (11 January) on press preview day at the Autosport International show at the NEC, Birmingham.
TEAM RAC IN RACE AGAINST TIME
On Tuesday 13 March, WSR will test its brand new BMW 320si as the official Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship Media Launch takes place at Rockingham Motor Speedway.
WSR have just 14 days to build and prepare the brace of BMW’s since taking delivery of the chassis’ from BMW.
MSA British Race Elite Programme
Colin was among 20 young British racing drivers from many different categories of circuit racing who were selected for the final judging of the MSA's British Race Elite Programme, a driver training scheme which aims to help up and coming drivers with every aspect of their future careers.
TEAM RAC CONFIDENT AHEAD OF SEASON OPENER
Team RAC drivers Colin Turkington and Tom Onslow-Cole faced the media at Rockingham on Tuesday for the traditional Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) curtain raiser before recording impressive lap times in afternoon testing.
WSR ALL SET FOR BTCC SEASON OPENER
With final testing of the two new Team RAC BMW’s now complete, following a visit to Pembrey Circuit in Wales, WSR are now ready for the start of the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, which is just a few days away.
TURKINGTON ON POLE FOR BTCC OPENER
Team RAC's Colin Turkington firmly stamped his authority on the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship title race as he secured pole position in his brand new WSR built BMW 320si E90 for the opening round of the season at Brands Hatch tomorrow.
WSR's BMW LEADS INDEPENDENTS TEAM TROPHY
A natural amphitheatre bathed in sunlight greeted the opening round of the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch. In front of a bumper crowd Colin Turkington secured double podium success whilst teammate Tom Onslow-Cole scored two top ten finishes on his BTCC debut.
INAUGURAL MSA BRITISH RACE ELITE CANDIDATES CHOSEN
There were 86 applications from which 20 were selected to go forward for interview with an independent judging panel. After a long day at the MSA headquarters on Thursday, 5th April, the six candidates MSA British Race Elite programme were chosen and are now announced.
TURKINGTON JOINS THE ELITE
WSR / Team RAC driver Colin Turkington has been selected as just one of six drivers to take part in the inaugural MSA British Race Elite driver-training scheme.
Currently driving a BMW 320si in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship for WSR, sponsored by RAC, Colin is the eldest finalist at the age of 25.
WSR'S BMW IS ON THE PACE AND AIMING FOR WIN
Following a successful debut at Brands Hatch, which exceeded the expectations of WSR team boss Dick Bennetts, Team RAC BMW’s now head to Corby in Northamptonshire to take on the fast sweeping banks of Rockingham Motor Speedway.
TURKINGTON SUFFERS BITTER BLOW
Colin Turkington (Portadown) suffered a bitter blow when he was relegated to the rear of the grid following a failure to comply with weight check procedures at the end of the qualifying session, his car failing to re-start.
ROCKINGHAM RACE REPORT
It was the first time that the British Touring Car Championship had visited Rockingham Motor Speedway since 2003 and it also marked the first podium finish for Team RAC and BTCC newcomer Tom Onslow-Cole.


TIGHTEN YOUR SEATBELTS, IT'S THRUXTON
After the fast banking of Rockingham Motor Speedway, Team RAC (WSR) now head to the South of England for rounds 7, 8 and 9 of the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship. Thruxton will play host this weekend for the first of two visits to the Hampshire track.
GOOD RESULTS STILL POSSIBLE FOR TEAM RAC
Team RAC’s Colin Turkington will line up on the third row of the grid for the first of three Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship races taking place at Thruxton tomorrow.  Qualifying his WSR engineered BMW 320si with a time of 1m17.906 Colin claimed the fifth grid slot having produced an average speed of just under 109mph.
TURKINGTON TAKES INDEPENDENTS WIN
Colin Turkington secured an Independents Trophy win on what was once again a difficult weekend for the Team RAC driver. The BMW 320si showed its start line prowess at the Thruxton circuit and Colin went on to secure a fourth and fifth place. But it was the third race of the day when he suffered a puncture that dented his Championship race.
TEAM RAC BACK ON TRACK AT CROFT
After a four week break in the calendar, Team RAC and the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship return to North Yorkshire’s Croft Circuit next weekend where qualifying is all important as the track provides little opportunity for overtaking.

TURKINGTON TAKES FIRST WIN FOR TEAM RAC
Colin Turkington (Portadown) secured his first win of the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship in his WSR-built BMW 320si at Croft this afternoon. He also registered the first win for over ten years for the German marque as the last time a BMW won in the BTCC was back in July 1996.
TURKINGTON STILL ON FOR TITLE HUNT
Team RAC and the Dunlop BTCC returns this weekend as the teams take to the picturesque circuit of Oulton Park. The visit to the Cheshire circuit marks the midway point in the season. Whilst many pundits may consider the Championship a two horse race, Team RAC drivers Colin Turkington and Tom Onslow-Cole are determined to claim some of the silverware on offer.

Colin Turkington will line up at the front of the grid for the first of tomorrow's three Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship races at Oulton Park, Cheshire. Taking pole position in his WSR prepared Team RAC BMW 320si, the Northern Irishman was ecstatic to be heading up the pack once again.

Colin Turkington took his second win of the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Championship season in the second of today’s three races at Oulton Park. He also collected a third place trophy from the opening race after placing his WSR prepared BMW 320si on pole in yesterday’s qualifying.

SNETTERTON RACE REPORT

Colin Turkington achieved what he thought was a dream start to the afternoon after converting his pole position to a win in the opening race. However, his dream faded when he was disqualified after scrutineers found that his car was marginally underweight at the end of the race.

TURKINGTON SCORES 150!

When Colin Turkington visits Brands Hatch it will mark a milestone in his BTCC career, as the Northern Irishman will contest his 150th race as he lines up on the grid in his WSR-prepared Team RAC BMW 320si for the first of three races on Sunday.

DEJA VU AS TURKINGTON CLAIMS POLE AT
BRANDS HATCH
Team RAC's Colin Turkington claimed pole position for the first of tomorrow's BTCC races after setting the fastest lap of this afternoon's Qualifying session at Brands Hatch. In his WSR-prepared BMW 320si, Colin set the fastest time (49.446s) midway through the session beating SEAT's Darren Turner (49.448s) by the narrowest of margins, just two thousandths of a second.

TURKINGTON  TAKES FOURTH WIN OF THE SEASON

Colin Turkington took his fourth win of the season for Team RAC at Brands Hatch this afternoon. The Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship is never short on action and today was no exception as drivers tried to get to grips with the wet slippery Kent track.

Team RAC will take part in the FIA WTCC meeting at Brands Hatch with one BMW 320si driven by Colin Turkington.Turkington has been very impressive at the Kent circuit this season, securing pole position on both occasions the BTCC was held there, along with two second placed finishes in April and a victory last month.

Aviva has announced that they are to sponsor two Team Aviva branded cars driven by Colin Turkington and Duncan Huisman in the last two rounds (Rounds 21 and 22) of the FIA World Touring Car Championship in Macau on 18 November.

TURKINGTON WINS BMW SPORTS TROPHY

The 2007 BMW Sports Trophy attracted 98 entries from privately entered BMW drivers across the world
The first 25 drivers to be honoured, and who received prize money, hail from 11 different countries. In 2007, most of the points in the intricate rating system of the Sports Trophy were claimed by British driver Colin Turkington.
